DIRECTIONS FOR NEW LOCATION

From I-10 between Houston and Beaumont, take exit 810 which is the 563-Anahuac exit.  Travel south on 563 for 6 miles until you come to a 4-way stop.  Turn right onto Miller Street and continue for .8 miles, turn left on Main Street and travel .9 miles.  Turn right at the large green cannon.  You will see the brown American Legion Hall on your left as soon as you turn.  Parking is in the front.

Hankamer Hook In Friday and Saturday

The Stash Sisters' Annual Hankamer Hook In is taking place Friday and Saturday.  I am really looking forward to attending.  There will be vendors, door prizes, silent auction, and exhibit, plus plenty of hooking and visiting with friends.  So come on out if you can and join us.

Sixth Annual Hankamer Hook-In

Location:  Whites Park, 225 Whites Memorial Park Drive, Hankamer TX

Directions:  Whites Park is located off I-10 on Hwy 61.   From Houston go east on I-10, go through Baytown and Anahuac exits.  Take the Hankamer exit.  At the corner, turn right on Hwy 61, go 1⁄2 block to the first road and turn right.

Bea Brock and the Stash Sisters

Sounds like a folk or rock band, doesn't it?!  On Saturday, we got together and learned new hooking stitches with Bea Brock.  She is a great teacher, taking us one stitch at a time through her flower sampler.  Here we all are with Bea holding up the sample of the finished project.

Stash Sisters' Raffle Rug

I wanted to get up a picture of the raffle rug that we hooked for the Stash Sisters hook in last weekend. T.J. Martin (picture 1: she is right, middle row, end) designed the rug and then we each hooked a section of it. If you are interested in the design, T.J. is going to make it available for $12 plus shipping. You should contact her directly at dinkiebug@aol.com.

Getting ready for Stash Sisters Hook In

I've been spending my free time dyeing my Palette wools and painting wool boxes for the Stash Sisters Hook In (coming up on Friday). I hope to dye some wool for myself too since I've run out of my reds and yellows which I need to finish "Baptism by Fire". Also would like to finish the cabbage rose Cottingham Blossom Purse. Ha, I need more time!

Stash Sisters Hook In

I just received the flyer for the Stash Sister's annual hook in in Hankamer, Texas, April 9-10. This event is so much fun. There are great vendors, a handmade table, goodie bags with handmade surprises, door prizes, a silent auction, a rug raffle, hooking for two days, and a rug exhibit.
